MENTAL ATTITUDE, CONFESSION AND FAITH

The working presupposition of positive confession is
that your mental attitude determines what you believe and confess. And frankly, to be candid with you, what you believe and confess determine what you get from God. Your mental attitude affects your confession and belief.
A great man of God said “what you believe is a result of your thinking”.  The Bible says “…..whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report, if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think of these things”.  “Philippians 4:8. If you think wrong thinking you will believe wrong – if you believe wrong, your confession will be wrong. That means what you say will be wrong and it will all hinge on your thinking. The Bible says “commit thy work unto the and thy thought shall be established” Proverb 16:3. Even God has a good thought toward you. In Jeremiah 29:11, the Bible says “For I Know the thoughts that I think toward you said the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end”. The Bible seriously warns you about bad and wrong thinking. In IPet. 3:10, it says “He that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile”.

To have positive confession you must have a positive mental attitude. Positive confession fits well into power of faith. Whether you like it or not, your confession rules you and your life. Confession is the catalyst that evokes blessings or curses. You can only possess to the extent to which you have faith. Sooner or later you become what you confess. To be optimist is to put on the armour of positive mental attitude.
A Story was once told of two friends who were asked to comment on the liquid that is filled to the middle of their bottles. The first friend confessed positively that the bottle is half-filled and the second friend confessed negatively that the bottle is half-emptied. No sooner than their confessions were made than they attracted the fulfilment of their confessions. The first friend that confessed positively was met by a man who wanted to throw water away and collected it to fill up his bottle. On the other hand the friend who confessed negatively was attracted to a negative fulfilment. His half – emptied bottle was thrown away by a goat that was trying to escape being caught.
You will only grow in faith to the extent which you practice positive confession. Positive mental attitude and positive confession are the basis of faith. The reality is the sum of total of whatever you think it to be. An optimist says the bottle is half filled and attracted the fulfilment and a pessimist says the bottle is half – emptied and it becomes empty. If you put on positive mental attitude, optimistic thinking, and confess positively with faith, you magnetize your condition. You draw to yourself the creative power of faith.
